How Phone Hacking Happens

                                   How Phone Hacking Happens

Phone hacking means someone gains unauthorized access to your phone or its data. This can happen in several ways:

1. Phishing (Fake Links or Apps)

  • You receive a text, email, or social media message with a link.

  • Once clicked, it can trick you into entering login info or install malware.

  • Example: "Your package is delayed, click here to track it" – and boom, malware installs silently.

2. Malware / Spyware Apps

  • Installed through shady websites, third-party app stores, or even fake "updates."

  • Spyware can:

    • Track your location

    • Read texts/emails

    • Record calls or screen

    • Steal photos, contacts, etc.

3. Public Wi-Fi Attacks

  • Hackers can set up fake Wi-Fi hotspots (e.g., "Free Starbucks Wi-Fi").

  • Once connected, they can intercept your data or inject malware (man-in-the-middle attack).

  • Bluetooth or NFC Hacking

    • If Bluetooth is always on, hackers nearby can exploit vulnerabilities.

    • NFC (used for tap payments) can also be a weak spot if misconfigured.
